The Media ministry is a behind the scenes ministry which focuses on serving the Church through the use of Audio/Visual/Lighting (AVL) Technology, as well as Production and Live Stream services for our home-bound members and online guests
When do we meet?
Rehearsal: Sunday mornings at 7:45 am
FOH Operators: Both 9 & 10:30 am services
Studio Operators: 9 am service
Image Magnification (IMAG Screens)
Our IMAG operators help guide the church in worship by putting the right words, Scriptures, and media on the screen at just the right time. They work with the worship team to make sure everything is ready and in order before the service starts, then follow along with the music so the slides change right when they should. It takes focus, quick thinking, and an understanding of how the service flows. Our IMAG operators help the congregation stay engaged and sing along without distraction.
Camera Operation
Our camera operators are responsible for capturing the service so people watching online or on the screens in the room can clearly see what’s going on. They work with the rest of the media team to follow the action, get good shots, and keep things smooth—but also done with intentional planning beforehand. Anticipation, not reaction. The work of our camera operators helps everyone, whether they’re in the building or watching from home, feel connected and part of the service.
Producers & Switchers
The result of what a viewer sees on our live streams and recordings is made possible by our media producers and switchers. Together, they oversee and coordinate the timing, switching, and quality of camera angles to ensure that the main focus of the service is what's going to the viewer's screen. Nothing is done randomly or sporadically, but done with intentional thought and planning
Throughout the year opportunities for other tech and media needs around the church will appear, such as Christmas around the Tree, Easter Sunrise Service, VBS, Conferences. and many more. Our faithful media team is always ready to plug-in and help use the gifts of technology to serve the wide age-groups and activities of our Church.
Other Opportunities
Within the Student ministry, there is a Lead team that focuses on running tech for the Wednesday evening Elevate Services. If a student is active in that lead team, they may also serve in the main Media Ministry as well.
