The Crossroads Conference is a one-day conference for young adults and college students (anyone ages 17-25). Together, we will look at Charles Spurgeon's life and how we can learn from it today! The conference will include main sessions with Dr. Geoff Chang, Curator for the Spurgeon Library at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO. We will also have music, breakout sessions, fellowship, giveaways, games, coffee truck, and more. We hope you will join us! â€‹

Dr. Geoff Chang- Keynote Speaker
Curator, Spurgeon Library, Assistant Professor of Historical Theology

Geoff Chang serves as Assistant Professor of Church History and Historical Theology and the Curator of the Spurgeon Library. He is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin (B.B.A.), The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Ph.D.), where he wrote his dissertation on Charles H. Spurgeon’s ecclesiology. 

He also serves the Book Review Editor for History & Historical Theology at Themelios, the academic journal for The Gospel Coalition. He has published articles for websites, journals, and magazines in the US and UK, including 9Marks, Evangelicals Now, Modern Reformation, and more. He has also served as a speaker and instructor with T4G, Simeon Trust, and other national ministries. He is the volume editor of The Lost Sermons of C.H. Spurgeon Volumes 5, 6, and 7 (B&H Academic) and the author of Spurgeon the Pastor: Recovering a Biblical and Theological Vision for Ministry (B&H Publishing).

 

He is married to Stephanie and they have three children. They enjoy music, good books, working around the house, exploring the outdoors, and serving their local church. You can follow him on Facebook and Twitter.

Pre-Conference with Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in the Brick
Join Dr. Geoff Chang for a pre-conference session at 9:30AM on “The Call to Ministry and Theological Education.” If you are considering a call to ministry or simply interested in the topic, we would love for you to join this session and think with us more what to do next. Dr. Chang will provide a brief talk, and then there will be a live Q&A. You will also learn about Midwestern Seminary’s full tuition scholarship for first-year seminary students.

FAQ

Q: Do I have to be a member of FBC Mustang to attend? 

A: No! This conference is open to any college student or young professional. 

​

Q: Does the $30 Registration Fee include meals? 

A: Unfortunately, no it does not. Mustang has a number of great restaurants within just a few minutes. You'll find a meal to match any budget. Food Trucks will be on campus after the conference. Those meals are also for individual purchase. 

​

Q: I'm not able to stay late after the last session, can I leave early? 

A: Of course! Join us for as much of the conference as you can! 

​

Q: I need to stay overnight. Are there hotels available? 

A: The Mustang and Yukon area has several hotel options. If you stay in Mustang, you'll be a few minutes from the church. If you stay in Yukon, you'll be a few minutes from i-40. Win-win! 

​

Q: What giveaways will be there? 

A: Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary will be giving away a prize bundle, and Crossway and Ligonier will give away a book to everyone in attendance.
